  • Meet the ORCMA Board

According to the by-laws , the officers of the Oak Ridge Civic Music Association are the president, vice president, treasurer, and secretary. The president is the chief executive officer of the Association with immediate management responsibility for the music director(s), executive director, and other paid employees of ORCMA.

Each officer serves a one-year term but can be re-elected. Members of the ORCMA board, including the officers, serve three-year terms. The president appoints a nominating committee to nominate new members to the board to help carry out the board's functions. Board members are elected by ORCMA members (subscribers) at the annual meeting every June. The board has 15 members.

ORCMA board tasks range from fundraising events and concert publicity to concert program planning, developing a budget, and providing music education. The board supports the music director, executive director, Oak Ridge Symphony and Chorus, Chamber Concert series, Isotone Concert series, Coffee Concert series, and Oak Ridge Youth Symphony Orchestra.

If you are interested in joining the board and offering your leadership, financial, and communication skills to support live classical music and music education for the Oak Ridge area, please contact Michelle Powell at office@orcma.org or 865-483-5569.
