  • More About ORCMA

Founded in 1948, the Oak Ridge Civic Music Association (ORCMA) serves as the umbrella organization for the professional Oak Ridge Symphony Orchestra, Oak Ridge Chorus, Chamber Concert Series, Oak Ridge Youth Symphony Orchestra (ORYSO), and the Isotone Concert Series. A cultural pillar of Oak Ridge for almost 65 years, ORCMA presents five ORSO and Chorus concerts each season, hosts a world-class, six-concert Chamber Concert series in a comfortable, intimate environment, and provides a unique concert (Isotone) that blends music in honor of a physicist with explanations of the physics of a musical instrument featured during the performance.

ORCMA provides quality music to the people of Oak Ridge and the surrounding communities, promotes opportunities for participation in the performance or music, and assists in the music education of people of all ages, through its concert series, the free Family Concert and other outreach activities.
