Adolf King Strings Camp – Full Details

The Adolf King Strings Camp is a dynamic summer program hosted by ORCMA for rising 4th–8th graders (beginner and advanced strings) and rising 9th–12th graders (chamber orchestra opportunity). Open to violin, viola, cello, or bass players, this immersive week fosters musical growth through daily ensemble rehearsals, sectional coaching, and hands-on activities that build skills and confidence.

Brought back by popular demand: ORAU STEAM segments exploring the science behind sound, and this year, we will also be offering practice classes and audition readiness workshops led by Oak Ridge Symphony musicians and educators.

Whether beginners or advancing players, campers thrive in a welcoming environment focused on learning, discovery, and collaboration—ending with new friends, improved musicianship, and a deeper love for music and science.
