Dr. Adolf King Summer Strings Camp

Who: Rising 4th–12th (current 3rd or is in current lessons -11th) grade students playing violin, viola, cello, or string bass  

What: A fun and educational week learning and experiencing music!

When: Monday, June 22nd through Friday, June 26th, 2026

Times: 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM, daily

Where:  First Baptist Church of Oak Ridge - 1101 Oak Ridge Tpke, Oak Ridge, TN 37830-6442  

Experience:  School orchestra class is preferred, but no previous experience or instrument is required.

Join us this summer for an unforgettable Music Camp Experience right here in Oak Ridge!

Whether you're picking up your instrument for the first time or ready to tackle challenging new repertoire, we've got a level just for you. Open to students from Oak Ridge and all surrounding counties, our camp offers:

✨ Multiple Level Groups– so every musician is both challenged and inspired

🎼 Fun, hands-on learning with professional musicians and enthusiastic mentors. This year we are also adding a STEAM segment provided by ORAU learning the science behind the sounds.

🎉 New friends, new music, and tons of musical fun!

From beginner basics to advanced ensemble playing, our camp is designed to spark creativity, build confidence, and make every note count.

 

The camp closes with a special live performance!
