Join the Oak Ridge Chorus and Oak Ridge Youth Choir for For the Living, a concert filled with hope and light featuring Dan Forrest’s beloved Requiem for the Living for chorus and chamber orchestra. This powerful work journeys through sorrow, longing, and confusion toward hope, wonder, and peace, offering a heartfelt musical reflection for all who listen.
Under the direction of Oak Ridge Chorus Director Sarah Henrich and Oak Ridge Youth Choir Conductor Gigi Neave, the program will include a special piece by the Youth Choir and a joint performance of the timeless canon Dona Nobis Pacem (“Grant us peace”). A youth soloist from the Oak Ridge Youth Choir will join soprano Jolene Boyle, tenor John Overholt, organist Trey Ogle, and members of the Oak Ridge Symphony Chamber Orchestra in Requiem for the Living, bringing together voices across generations.
We invite you to step away from the rush of daily life and experience an afternoon of live music that restores, inspires, and connects. All are welcome.
