Abbie Hoerner

Violin

Abbie Hoerner is a violinist and strings educator. She attended the University of Michigan where she studied violin with Yehonatan Berick and graduated with a Bachelors of Music Education. After college, Mrs. Hoerner moved to the Knoxville area where she taught beginning strings and middle school orchestra in the Oak Ridge Schools. In 2016, she chose to step away from public school teaching to stay home with her children and teach private lessons. Today she continues to perform around East Tennessee including playing with the Oak Ridge Symphony for fourteen years. Mrs. Hoerner finds it extremely rewarding when she has the opportunity to reconnect with her former students and their families at her performances. In her spare time, she finds happiness spending time outdoors with her family.
