Joe Jordan

Trumpet, Piccolo Trumpet, Flugelhorn

Joe Jordan is a trumpeter, recording artist and educator in Knoxville Tennessee. He has performed with local acts and artists in a variety of genres. From orchestral music, big band swing to jazz duets, country and contemporary music. He has played with a variety of local groups of varying size including the ORS, Knoxville jazz orchestra, Streamliners swing band, and trios with prominent vocalists in the area. He performs with the Grammy nominated country act “The War and Treaty”, and is found playing on their record “Hearts Town” and their next Album, recorded at Fame studios in Muscle Shoals Alabama. He recently performed at Red Rocks, Crypto Arena, and Austin city limits live with the War and Treaty in 2024. He is featured on their single “Called you by your name” with UMG Nashville. Having opened for Al Green, Zach Bryan, John Prine among several others Joe finds his time split between teaching, touring, recording, performing, and spending time with his family. Joe currently teaches at Farragut Highschool, University of the Cumberlands, Pellissippi state, and the joy of music school.
