Brooke Lafontant

Violin

Brooke Lafontant, violinist, is an avid performer of solo, orchestral, and chamber music. She has been a winner of various competitions including the Charleston International Music Competition, the Southern Adventist University National Concerto Competition, and the Alabama Music Teachers’ Association Competition. As an orchestral musician, she has served as concertmaster of the UT Symphony, Opera, and Chamber Orchestras, and performed in the violin sections of the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra, Brevard Philharmonic, and Symphony of the Mountains.

In 2024, Brooke was selected as a Festival Scholar for the Heartland Chamber Music Festival. She has participated in both solo and chamber master classes offered by internationally recognized musicians including Frank Huang, Benjamin Sung, Catalyst Quartet, and the Harlem Quartet. Brooke is currently studying under Dr. Miroslav Hristov at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.
